Zigrida Pryer

March 2, 1939 — January 31, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Zigrida"Ziggy" Pryer, who left this world peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday January 31,2025, at the young age of 85.

Ziggy, affectionately known as "Gigi" by her cherished great-granddaughters, was bom in Latvia and spent her childhood journeying through Germany, Scotland and England, before arriving in Canada. Alongside her late mother, Leva (1997) and late brother John (2013), she built a new life with resilience, determination and an unshakable spirit.

It was in Brockville, Ontario where her swimming instructor, the late Harry Pryer (2007) became the love of her life and they married in 1962. After moving to Newmarket, then Glen Williams, they finally made Georgetown their forever home and celebrated 45 years of love, laughter and adventure, building a beautiful family and a home filled with love.

Ziggy had an undeniable zest for life, embracing every moment with a radiant smile and an open heart. She will be deeply missed by her children Anita (Danny), and Steven (late Linda (2021), her grandchildren, Corey (Ashley) and Nicole (Eric), and her precious great-granddaughters, Amara and Aurora. She also leaves behind her loving niece Tracy (Dean) and their son Nathan, as well as her late husband's brother Frank (Jane) and their son Paul and his children.

Though she may no longer walk beside us Ziggy's spirit lives in the love she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the countless memories that will forever warm our hearts. She will never be forgotten. As per her wishes there will not be a funeral service, but a celebration of life will take place during the summer, her most favourite season. We would also like to express our gratitude to Dr. Marshall and Ashley at the Milton Hospital who provided Ziggy with exemplary palliative care. And, an extra special thank you to Jericho who was a constant source of support and encouragement.

ln her memory contributions to CAS Halton Hills would be very welcomed.
