Zenaida Van Klink

Zenaida Van Klink (née Funtanilla), also known as Sandy or Zeny, passed peacefully at her home in Georgetown on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 82 years old. Beloved wife of Ted Van Klink for 54 wonderful years of marriage. Dear Mother of Genevieve and Edward. Sister of the late Tomas Funtanilla (Antonia), Patria Lim (Edgardo), and the late Manuel Funtanilla (Geny). Predeceased by her parents, Cleofé Funtanilla and Consuelo Fontanilla (Blanza). Zenaida will be missed by her nieces (Trixie and Coreen), nephews (Noel, Apostol, Joseph, Roland, Carlo, and Clarence), and her extended family.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a compassionate nurse, and a woman of unwavering faith in Our Lord. Her generous spirit was evident in her many years of volunteer service at her parish and the local hospital, and her long-standing association with the Catholic Women’s League exemplified her commitment to faith and service. She was deeply cherished by all who knew her, and her memory will be honoured with enduring respect and affection.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all relatives, friends, and members of the community for their prayers, kindness, and support during this time. Your expressions of sympathy and acts of compassion have brought great comfort and are deeply appreciated.

Friends will be received at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Tuesday March 17, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Parish, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown, on Wednesday March 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Funeral reception will be held at the Holy Cross Parish Hall following the burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation or to the Holy Cross Parish.
