Peacefully passed away at Brampton Civic Hospital on Thursday, January 1, 2026 in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his wife Ingrid (2015). Loving father of Reinhard (Tara) Krappe. Proud “Opa” of Kera Krappe (Tyler) and Kurt Krappe. Wolfgang will be fondly remembered by his brother Joachim Krappe.
Wolfgang was born in Berlin, Germany May 14th, 1934. He spent his younger years with his brother Joachim surviving through World War 2. In 1955, Wolfgang arrived at the port in Montreal waiting for his future wife, Ingrid. Ingrid, arrived 1 year later and they began their life together here in Canada. Years after, Ingrid and Wolfgang then had their greatest joy, their son Reinhard.
Wolfgang was a hard working man, working many jobs to get a head start. He eventually pursued his profession and opened a bakery and pastry shop in the early 80’s called Town Talk Bakery in Streetsville, Mississauga. After running a very successful business with early mornings and long days he retired, living a very active lifestyle and enjoying time with family and friends.
Wolfgang will forever be remembered for his kind heart, his passion for baking and especially his love for his friends and family.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Brampton Civic Hospital for their care and kindness. Also many thanks to Wolfgang’s neighbours for their care and support over the years, it means more than you will ever know.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Saturday January 31, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. A reception to follow in the Trafalgar room.
If desired, donations to the heart and stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family.
