Bill

William Halsall (Bill) Wright, 84 of Mississauga, Ontario passed away on November 20, 2023 in Georgetown, Ontario.

Bill was born in London, England to Richard and Grace Wright on May 19, 1939. He earned a certificate in Mechanical Engineering before immigrating to Canada with his wife, Maggie in 1963.

He worked hard until his retirement in 2004 and then enjoyed his favourite pastime of golfing. Bill loved Florida and spent many winters there. In retirement he spent many years volunteering at the Credit Valley Hospital. He was also a proud member of the Streetsville Probus Group

He is survived by his children, Shan Richardson (Paul) and Evan Wright (Christy), his stepchildren Kristy Gardy (Shawn) and John McGill (Christine) and his grandchildren Callum and Mackenzie Richardson, AJ Schell and Landon McGill.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Grace his older brother John, his wife, Maggie (2001) and his life partner Jill (2021)

Memorial donations may be made in Bill’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Amica Georgetown. All of the staff were exemplary in their care and kindness.

There will not be a funeral service. Bill has been cremated and his remains will be scattered with his parents in Aberystwyth, Wales.
