Wilhelmina "Pien" Van Dyke
Known by all as Pien, died peacefully, surrounded by family, after a long struggle with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), at Grace Manor, Brampton on July 10, 2013, in her 76th year. Pien was the beloved wife of the late Rennie, and loving mother of Arlene Cholik (the late Tom), Alfred Van Dyke (Olesia), Jeffrey Van Dyke (Patricia) and Pamela Vanderhoef (Bert). Pien was the proud and loving grandmother of Amanda Cholik; Jason, Jeremy and Nadya (Cory) Van Dyke; Logan, Brett and Kara Vanderhoef and great-granddaughter Annabelle. Pien was the dear sister of the late Nel Geertsma (Bill), the late Ann Van Hart (the late John), Ditta Rauwerda (the late Ken), Dirk Nieuwland (Trudy), Margo Rupke (Jack), Bill Nieuwland (Barbara), Art Nieuwland (Mary), the late Len Nieuwland (Bonnie), Nettie Nieuwland, Betsy Nieuwland and Trixie Wood (Ian). Pien is remembered by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Christian Reformed Church (11611 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown) on Monday July 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
