Fedchenko, Walter - peacefully on November 1, 2022 at the Oakville Hospital in his 60th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his family and loved ones, who were all so very important to him. Walter is survived by his wife Nora, of 34 years, his children Chelsey (Corey) and Owen, and by his sweet little granddaughter Ella, who was the apple of his eye. Loved son of Alla Fedchenko and the late Peter Fedchenko. Fondly remembered by his sisters Sonia (Terry), Luba (Steven), and Helen (Darryl); sister- and brother-in-laws Karen (Mike), Cathy (predeceased), Terry (Marja), Sheila (Jost), and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by his mother and father in-law Alice and Jack Kane.
Walter loved to hate his job at Husky Injection Molding, where he worked so proudly for 35 years. He loved his hockey and baseball and was a diehard Leafs and Jays fan.
A very special thank you to the beautiful doctors and nurses at the Oakville Trafalgar Cancer Clinic and Palliative Care Unit. You are truly angels sent from heaven.
Walter will be sorrowfully missed by anyone who considered him a friend.
Friends will be received at Jones Funeral Home on Sunday November 6, from 6 - 9 pm. A Funeral mass will be held on Monday November 7, at 10:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery and reception to follow in the church hall. In memory, donations to Canadian Cancer Society and Covenant House would be appreciated.
