She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.
Virginia faced many challenges as a young, widowed mother of 4. She faced these challenges with an optimistic attitude, unwavering strength and determination, always putting the needs of her children first. Virginia started down this compassionate journey first as an ER nurse at St. Joes hospital in Toronto. She then explored a career in Real Estate partnering with and supporting her husband Raymond’s busy Real Estate career. She also was a passionate piano teacher for over 60 years sharing the gift of music with hundreds of children; nothing gave her greater joy than listening to kids at the piano, preparing for recitals, and tv performances on “Tiny Talent Time.” She loved spending time with children and that was exemplified throughout her years of dedication in the various classrooms she taught in the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Virginia then provided her family the opportunity of acquiring an IGA grocery store franchise in Georgetown. She could always be found in the background sweeping the floors or helping in the various store departments while letting her sons and daughter learn the business and shine. Aside from her passion for music, she loved to travel and passed that desire to explore the world, onto her children. Virginia touched many lives, always showing people generosity, love and kindness. She taught the importance of strength and perseverance during the utmost challenging times, and exemplified this through her words, actions, and life achievements.
She will be dearly missed.
