McGowan, Vera Beatrice (nee Newman) June 2, 1914-May 6, 2015 Longtime resident of Glen Williams, passed away peacefully at Burton Manor, Brampton, in her 101st year. Vera, beloved wife of the late William McGowan; loving mother of John (Dianne), June (the late Lee Longstreet), Ron (Ellen), Norman, Gary (Darlene) and Verna (the late John Knowles). Vera will be forever cherished by her 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents Arthur and Eva Newman, and by her brother Edwin. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held. In memoriam contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Vera's memory.
