It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Burney on Friday September 14, 2012 at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga. She was born Vera Edna Maxine Carson on July 1, 1935. She is predeceased by her husband Roy Burney to whom she was married for 40 years. She is survived by her two sons, Robert Burney (Laurie) and Greg Burney (Jovi) and two beautiful grandchildren Colin and Ashley. She remains the beloved sister of Ted, Jamie and Butch Clark. She will live on through her family and her close-knit circle of many lifelong friends.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday September 17, 2012 at 11:00 am.
