Thomas "Tom" Wylie

Thomas “Tom” Edward Wylie passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, with family in his thoughts and love surrounding him. He was the beloved son of the late Thomas and Irene Wylie.

Proud and devoted father of Corey (Jessica) and Chris (Baily), Tom’s greatest joy in life was his family. He was an adored grandfather to Everleigh, Madison, Mackenzie, and Wyatt, who brought endless happiness to his days. Tom also shared a lifelong friendship with his best friend, Randy Switzer, whose companionship meant the world to him through the years.

Tom raised his boys in a home filled with love, laughter, and the support of their grandparents. Protective by nature and deeply caring, he treasured every moment spent with his sons and grandchildren — whether fishing together at Belwood Lake Conservation Area, Guelph Lake Conservation Area, or enjoying time in Meaford.

Tom loved camping, tending to his garden, and making sure his home always had great curb appeal. Handy and resourceful? Well, he was a true “Red Green” at heart; if duct tape or a fresh coat of paint couldn’t fix it, then in Tom’s mind, it probably wasn’t fixable. He enjoyed listening to classic rock, attending concerts, and especially loved catching a show during trips to Casino Rama Resort with Randy. He also cherished his visits to Niagara Falls and evenings spent at Fallsview Casino Resort.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Greenwood Cemetery, King Street, Georgetown, at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, to reunite Tom with his parents and to celebrate a life filled with love and friendship. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lung Cancer Canada would be greatly appreciated.
