Thomas David Culp

It is with infinite sadness that we share the sudden passing of Thomas David Culp, 64. He died on December 20 in Milton, Ontario. He was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, to Howard and Gwendolyn Culp on March 3, 1953. He spent his early years with his family on Bow Park Farm and moved to Mississauga in elementary school, where he met some of his greatest loves. He raised his family in Georgetown, Ontario. Beloved husband of Susan Vogt, and loving father of Nicole and David (Kinsey). Tom was a dear friend to many who were his "framily". He nurtured his friendships, both personally and professionally, throughout his life. Tom had a distinguished career in the aviation industry that started from the ground up, on the ramp to Vice President with Hudson General, Globe Ground and Servisair. He had a lasting, positive impact on the industry, particularly in the development of the central de-icing facility for the GTAA. Tom treated others with respect, kindness, and immense generosity. He was a true gentleman. His legacy will be his unwavering support of his family and his many friends over his lifetime. Tom will continue to have a profound influence on our lives. Tom was one of a kind; a tall, ever-bearded gentle giant with an amazing sense of humour. He loved his bulldog, Scooter, and having a beer on the dock at Faraway, his favourite place on Earth. Tom took pride in caring for his family and the many who became his family. We will love and miss him, and his beautiful smile, every day. We wish to extend our gratitude to the staff of the Milton Velodrome and the Halton first responders who did all that they could to pull him through. Their professionalism and compassion will always be remembered. We also wish to thank Dr. Marion King for her ongoing care and support in helping Tom manage his diabetes.  A funeral service will be held at Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 3, at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am, prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Milton District Hospital Foundation.
