Sydney Carl Stark

Stark, Sydney- Passed away peacefully at his home in Acton, Ontario, with his family at his side, on Friday, 28 April 2017, at the age of 52. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife Cathy (Alderson); his daughters Carleigh, Casey and Cassidy; and his granddaughter Leah. Born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, 21 June 1964, he was the son of Carl and Joan (Leclair) Stark. He is survived by his mother Joan, and his siblings Mike (Michael Leshner), Monica, Kevin (Elizabeth Walsh), and Carl Jr; and his mother-in-law Mary Alderson. He is predeceased by his father Carl Sr., and his father-in-law Karl Alderson. Syd's love of life, his sense of humour and his caring nature will be missed by both his family and his closest friends. An avid golfer, he and his passion for golf will be missed by his long-time golf buddies at the Wildwind Golf Links. In keeping with Syd's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, 10 June 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown.
