Stephen "Steve"
Blundell
May 18, 2026
Stephen “Steve” Charles Blundell – Passed peacefully on Monday May 18, 2026, at his home in Hillsburgh, Ontario, at the age of 65. Cherished partner of Joanne for 25 years. Dear father of Ian, and Matthew (Lili) and grandfather of Tobias. Lovingly remembered by his mother Elisia (Stu) and predeceased by his father Charles. Steve will be missed by Ray (Les), and Deb, as well as by all his family and friends.
Steve lived life entirely on his own terms. Loud when it mattered, thoughtful when it counted, and always with a story ready to tell.
He loved airplanes and fighter jets and recently fulfilled a lifelong boyhood dream by flying in L29 Delfin Fighter Jet. Another great love of Steve’s was music, woven into the soundtrack of his life. From the psychedelic echoes of Pink Floyd to the wild energy of Ozzy Osbourne, he appreciated it all. Steve enjoyed gardening and fishing, and felt most at home surrounded by nature, especially during trips to the French River. And as a dedicated marijuana enthusiast, Steve believed that good company, good music, and a good smoke could solve most of life’s problems.
His sense of humour was legendary: twisted, brilliantly timed, and never safe for polite company. As a devoted fan of Monty Python, he regularly slipped quotes into conversation, often leaving family and friends laughing, confused, or both.
Above all, Steve will be remembered for his spirit: genuine, hilarious, fiercely individual, and impossible to forget.
In his honour, play the music loud, look to the skies, and never underestimate the healing power of laughter and a little mischief.
Steve will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and impossible to replace.
