Stephen Mcvittie

Stephen “Steve” McVittie was a caring husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend. Stephen passed away suddenly on January 7, 2025, at age 59.

He was born to Neil and Margo McVittie on April 1, 1965. After graduating from high school, Stephen went on to Sheridan College where, soon after, he met the love of his life Evelyne. Together, they created a beautiful life together including their children: Amy (Greg) and Adam (Athena).

He will be deeply missed by his sisters Gwyn (Jim) and Mary Lynn (Dave), father-in-law Randy (predeceased by mother-in-law Joan), sisters-in-law Cheryl, and Laura (Tony), brother-in-law Jerry (predeceased by Lori), nephews Kevin (Meghan), Carter (Elizabeth), John, Alex, Matthew, Nicholas, Jordan and Shayne, nieces Emily, Miranda (John), and Amanda and countless family members and friends.

Stephen loved spending time with family, and making memories. As many know he would do anything for anyone and helping others was something he could always be counted on for. He was a proud coach and supporter of many.

A visitation will be held on Sunday January 12th from 1:00pm-4:00pm and a funeral service will follow on January 13th at 11:00am, at Jones Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada .
