Sophie Henley

Alice Mary (Sophie) Henley née Staton It is with much sadness and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce Sophie's peaceful passing on July 7, 2022. Beloved wife to Murray for 67 years, mother of Philip, daughter-in-law Carol, and the late Meredith. "Granni" to grandsons Blair and Eric and granddaughter Ashley. Dear sister of the late Ruth Osborne, Sophie is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the many supportive friends who held such an important place in Sophie's life, and whose visits she appreciated deeply. We are extremely grateful for the truly exceptional care by the staff at the Georgetown Hospital. In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of her 35 years as a volunteer, donations to the Georgetown Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. A visitation may be held as circumstances allow and a private interment will be held at a later date.
