White, Shirley Marie (nee Paul)- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley on September 24, 2013 at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare with her family by her side after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. Born in Listowel, Ontario in 1934, Shirley was the daughter of the late George and Marion Paul of Acton. In 1954, Shirley married her best friend Donald. They resided in Georgetown for many years where they raised their family before moving to Brampton and then to Gravenhurst upon their retirement. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She always put family before all else and we will all miss the family gatherings. Shirley was a great hostess and her attention to detail was exemplary. Shirley had a great love for family and friends but was most proud of her grandsons and their accomplishments. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald, daughters Susan and her husband Stephen Graham of Georgetown and Shelley and her husband Paul Uren of Wasaga Beach. Loving grandmother of Scott Graham of Victoria and Sean Graham of Ottawa. Dear sister of Sheila and her husband Phil Klassen of Dartmouth, NS. Shirley will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Ted Stigger, nephews/nieces Paul Klassen (Trudi), Wendy Klassen, Beverly Hall (Terry), Ellen Norton (Larry), Bettysue Handisyde (Gord), Gail Robinson (Norm), George Stigger (Janet). Shirley was a special great-aunt to Travis Kinnie and Logan Neves and had just become a great-great-aunt to Kiley Kinnie. Fondly remembered by Carole Beard-Earles and her husband the Rev. Jerry Earles and family Peterborough. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her sisters-in-law Eileen and her husband Fred Johnson and Marjorie Stigger. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Ave., Georgetown (905)-877-3631 on Sunday, September 29th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, September 30th in the chapel at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service. Cremation has taken place.
