Shelagh Anne Groves

Groves, Shelagh Anne – After a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully on Tuesday April 23, 2024 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Shelagh, in her 54th year, beloved wife of Greg for 29 years. Loving mother of Claire and Tyler. Loved daughter of Marie and Stewart Nicholson and daughter-in-law of Nancy (the late Allan) Groves. Dear sister of Kevin. Shelagh was very proud to provide care for children in her role as a nurse for the William Osler Health Centre. She was also proud of her Irish background and enjoyed gardening, travelling and being by the ocean. Shelagh will be forever remembered by her family for being a very genuine, caring and loving person and for the love that she had for her family, especially her children Claire and Tyler. Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. A celebration of Shelagh’s life will be held on Monday April 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Trafalgar Room. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
