Sharon Marie Mashinter, (née Preston) passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025 at Georgetown Hospital. Sharon was in her 75th year. Daughter of Gilbert and Elva Preston of Georgetown, she is survived by her loving husband David Mashinter and children Debbie (Jason) and James (Cindy).

She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Megan, Luke, Tim, Katey, Jill and Lauren for whom she worked tirelessly to please through her baking, gifts and magical trips to Disney.

On retirement from a career as an elementary teacher, Sharon devoted her time to a multitude of hobbies, travelling and involvement in the church. She will be fondly remembered for her extravagant holiday and birthday celebrations and her passion for sharing special events with family.

A lifelong resident of Halton Hills, Sharon valued her Preston family history and ties to “The Glen” particularly enjoying visiting and reminiscing with her Uncle Gord.

Heartfelt appreciation goes to Georgetown Hospital and all of Sharon’s caregivers.

A memorial service will take place on September 6th 10:30am at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, 537 Main St,   Glen Williams.
