Murray, Scott- It is with great sadness that the family of Scott Ross Murray, (Wendell to his friends), announce his passing at Georgetown Hospital, after a 6 year hard fought battle with ALS. ALS may have taken his voice and body but his spirit, sense of humour and love for his family and friends remain. He leaves to mourn, his wife Susan and children Ben and Sarah, his parents Beth and Wendell, his sister Pam her husband Paul Patten and their children, Olivia and Owen. Also mourning his loss are Susan's family, Linda Anderson, Bill Anderson, Gord Anderson Jacqui and Justin Parker and their children Taylor, Jordan and Jackson His many friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins will also mourn his loss. Scott graduated from Georgetown high school and Humber College. His working career was in the food industry where he ended his career as the Director of Training for Yum! Foods. His love of sports, particularly golf and the Dallas Cowboys was a major part of his life as well as his love for the cottage and PEI. Visitation will take place at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Monday June 20th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Scott's life will be held on Sunday, June 26 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club, 11742 Tenth Line, Georgetown, from 1-4 p.m. with a time of reflection beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ALS Society of Canada.
