Sandra Vanhanen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sandra Vanhanen, in her 70th year, on

Monday October 9th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Married to her sweetheart of 46 years, Sandra and Paul have three children of whom she was

immensely proud: Melissa (Jim), Pamela (Sean), and Bradley (Amanda). Grammie will be dearly missed

by her two grandsons Colton and Lucas whom she adored, as well as her loving sister Jayne, beautiful

nieces Anastasia (Shawn) and Casey, and great-niece Mazey.

Sandra loved her family deeply; she always made every effort to make everything perfect for family

gatherings and special occasions. She loved Christmas, spending time at the cottage with family, being

with her grandsons, and travelling with her husband throughout Canada and the US. Sandra’s departure

has left a void that cannot be filled, but she will live on in the hearts and memories of those who knew

and loved her.

Friends and Family are invited for a visitation on Sunday October 15th, 2023, from 2 - 5pm at Jones

Funeral Home (11582 Trafalgar Rd. Georgetown ON, L7G 4Y5) and Funeral Service Monday October 16th,

2023, at 2pm with reception to follow.

In remembrance of Sandra’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Christ Church

Brampton (4 Elizabeth St. N. Brampton ON, L6X 1S2).
