Sandra Brownlee

It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Victoria Brownlee (nee Scarlett) announces her passing on Monday, June 26th, peacefully at Georgetown District Hospital after a year-long battle with cancer.

Born on March 5, 1935 in Toronto, Ontario, she was the youngest daughter of Mildred and William Scarlett. Mom met and married her beloved husband, Douglas Starr Brownlee in May of 1956. They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.

Sandy will be dearly missed by her husband, Doug, son Curt (Allison), daughter Lisa, grandsons Kyle and Christian (Abbey) and granddaughters Kara (Jeremy) and Kathryn. Predeceased by her parents, sisters Williamina and Patricia, and brother Richard.

She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and friends. Many happy times were spent with friends at the Hillsview Active Living Center - Georgetown playing cards and visiting the casino to play the slots.

As per Sandy’s wishes cremation has taken place and no funeral will be held. For those who wish to honour Sandy’s memory, donations to The War Amps of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
