Ruth Fisher

Ruth Edith Fisher (nee Peacock) passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 6, in her 94th year. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband, Bill; her mother, Ruth; father, Tom Percy; brothers, Tom, Bob, Allan and sister, Mary. She will be forever remembered by her children Kim (Ross), Shawn (Tom) and Len (Amanda); grandchildren Jeff, Jaycen (Andrea), Kaleigh (Craig), Jenna, Lexi and Carson; and great grandson, Logan. Memories and wonderful times were shared with many good friends and neighbours.
Mom was raised in Winnipeg. After marriage she and Dad travelled to Montreal and Toronto before settling in Georgetown in 1958 to raise their children. In 1980 Mom and Dad realized a dream of owning a cottage on Wood Lake. This blessed retreat was enjoyed with family and friends. It was Mom's connection with people and caring for others as family that endeared her to all who knew her.
A true matriarch, Mom was devoted to her family. She loved us forever, she liked us for always and as long as she lived, her babies we were. With love and gratitude always, your family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 1:30 pm at St. George's Anglican Church, Georgetown. If you wish, contributions to the Georgetown Hospital can be made in memory of Ruth.
