Ruth Clemmens

Clemmens, Ruth- After a long and courageous battle with Frontal Temporal Dementia, Georgina (Ruth)Clemmens, born October 2nd 1935, daughter of the late Howard and Ena Chantler, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 24th, 2016 at Allendale Long Term Care Facility, Milton, ON. An indomitable spirit, she will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 59 years Jack, Mom to Michael and Kimberly, mother-in-law to Lori-Anne, Sister to Jean Wilcox and Josephine Hambley & late Betty Meger, Nana to Allison, April & Dalton, Great-Nana to Brett & Gracie, Aunt Ruth to her many loving nieces and nephews and Ruth to wonderful, caring extended family and friends. Her passions were "Her Jack", her family &friends, gardening with a fond love of roses, golf, travel, flower arranging and an appreciative eye for classic fashion. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday March 31st @ 11am, with visitation prior at 10am, at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown, ON 905-877-3631 with reception after. Also, a visitation on Wednesday March 30th from 6 to 8pm. Per her wishes, cremation and a private family burial in the Chantler family plot in Alliston, will take place at a later date. A special thank you to staff at Allendale Long Term Care Facility and Dr. Nathan Wong, who cared for her and brightened her and our days with their warm smiles, humour and tremendous compassion.
