ROBERT GEORGE BENBOW ROWE

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our beloved Robert. He was taken from us on November 10th and we miss him greatly. Robert was a loving husband and father, a good brother and son and a beloved uncle.

Born in Guelph in 1961, Robert was the son of Helen and the late John Rowe. After Acton High, he started his 36-year, 9 month career at Air Canada. He decided to support his community by becoming a volunteer firefighter in Acton from 1988-2002.

Robert helped his father build an extension on his Acton home and then built a workshop and home on 22 Sideroad. He had a son Bradley with Anne Beamer in 2000. He married secondly Darlene Wood, the love of his life, in 2008.

Robert was always available to help anyone in need, be they family or friend. He was a kind-hearted fellow, eager to pitch in whenever he could. He is missed by his wife Darlene and son Bradley, his siblings Mark (Kelly), Jennifer (Ford) and Janet (Duncan); his nieces and nephews Matthew, Michael (Skye), Erin (John), Gillian (Jayson), Bridget (Shane), Katrina (Sean), Stephanie (Greg), Danielle (Sheldon), Michelle (Zach); his grand nieces and nephews Arabella, Cameron, John, Siena, Sophia, Cohen and Jack.

Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Saturday 19th November 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Holy Cross Parish Hall.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
