Robert "Bob" Edwin Carr
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Bethell House, after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday September 4, 2012, 6 days before his 78th birthday. Loving husband and lifelong partner of Lois (nee Walker). Much loved father of Joe and Diane Carr of Wasaga Beach, Karen and David Orr of Wasaga Beach, Linda Dilks and Jack Ruck of Georgetown. Proud grandpa and poppa of Jacob (Jessica) Carr, Candice Spykers, Aleda Carr, Curtis and Brad Dilks. Great-grandpa of Issac and Eli Carr. Son of the late Harold and Florence Carr. Dear brother of Ron (the late Eleanor) and Ralph (Barb) Carr. Brother-in-law of the late Ed (Olive) Walker, Norma (the late Gord) McMinn. Robert will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Robert spent his lifelong career in the stainless steel business, he was owner and president of REC Industries and enjoyed his free time with Lois and their family, spent at their cottage in Wasaga Beach for the past 56 years. Special thank you to Dr. Higgins, Dr. Harild and staff at the Credit Valley Hospital Oncology Dept., CCAC, especially Jericho and to all the staff and volunteers at Bethell House- you truly are angels.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Saturday September 8th, 2012 at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place.
