Robert "Bob" Duffy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Duffy on December 7, 2024, in his 85th year.  Bob was the caring husband of Judy for 61 years and a loving father to Ken, Rick and Brian. Father-in-law to Mary, Margaret and Holly and adored Grandpa (Pops) of Meaghan & Veronica, Blake & Carley, and Lauren & Rachel. He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Valorie and Diane, and his nieces and nephews.

Bob’s life with Judy was centered around their family and friends. Fun times included everything from backyard barbeques to lively card games with their neighbours (he was a self-appointed expert euchre player). Bob was a voracious reader who was hard to beat in a game of Jeopardy, and would often finish a Sudoku puzzle and crossword before his morning coffee got cold.

Bob was a big kid who loved playing sports with his sons, just as much as he enjoyed watching them play. He captured Judy’s heart with his wicked sense of humour and never stopped making her laugh.

Bob/Robert/Dad/Grandpa, with his hearty laugh and sly grin, will be deeply missed.

Friends will be received be at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., Georgetown on Thursday December 12, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. and on Friday December 13, 2024 from 10:00am-11:00am.  A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held in the chapel on Friday December 13th at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
