Our family is deeply saddened to share the passing of Reno Di Renzo, who died peacefully with his family at his side at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Reno was born in Celano, Italy, and for many years proudly called Georgetown home.
He will be deeply missed by his devoted and loving wife, Ardemia; his sister, Gabriela Di Renzo; and his brother, Tony (Nadia), along with their daughters Erica and Sabrina. Reno was predeceased by his parents, Agostino and Pasquina, and by his sister, Mary. Reno will also be lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law, Loris (Caroline) Marangoni, and their children Courtney (Rick) Turnbull, Jeff (Shazia) Detz, Mark (Theodora) Detz, and Ryan (Maria) Vlahek, as well as by his extended family, who always considered him an essential part of every family gathering. A charismatic, extroverted man who thrived in social settings, Reno will be fondly remembered by his many friends, with whom, twice weekly, he shared breakfast and good conversation.
Reno had a lifelong passion for classic cars and was a familiar face at car shows throughout the GTA and beyond. He took great pride in his ’32 Chevy Coupe, which he rebuilt, showcased, and spoke about with enthusiasm to anyone who admired the craftsmanship he poured into it over the years. Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Parish, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow. If desired, memorial donations in Reno’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
