With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Renato José Laporta, an exceptional man whose legacy will endure in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on October 10, 1953, Renato was a pillar of his family and community. A passionate lover of coleo, Venezuela’s national sport, he began his career as a rider, commentator, and national judge, and distinguished himself as president of the Táchira State Coleo Association (ACOETA), where he tirelessly promoted this cherished tradition. He was also a great sports enthusiast, a devoted supporter of FC Barcelona, and a passionate fan of Deportivo Táchira, his hometown football team.
His greatest pride was always his family. As a father, husband, grandfather, brother, and son, he lived guided by love, strong values, and a deep faith that led him to seek unity and harmony. With his warm humor and respectful nature, he left an indelible mark on everyone around him. Renato leaves his wife Danellia, his children Maria Lorena (Alejandro), Daniela (Ricardo), Renata (Gerardo), Jesus Renato, Renato Jose, grand children Daniela, Ricardo, Sean, Anabella, Isabella, Fernanda, Federica, Samantha, and his siblings Alberto, Mariela, Emma, and Juan José
Renato passed away on April 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. His absence leaves a profound void, but his memory will live on in every story shared and in the example he set for all of us.
