Rae Harnden

Harnden, Rae - Peacefully at home, in the arms of his true love and surrounded by family, we sadly announce the passing of (David) Rae Harnden, on August 10, 2023. Rae (Little Man, grandpa, poppa, dad) was a hard working, incredibly talented man. He built his life and business around his passion for wood working. The Georgetown community will remember him as the owner of Blue Heron Woodworks for many years. Rae took pleasure in the simple things in life. Working hard, maintaining his home, fishing, frequent trips to his favourite vacation spot in Picton and finishing his days out on the back deck or in the garage with an ice cold "Blue" and his beloved Susan. His family, children, and grandchildren were the joy of his life and what made him the most proud. Always asking how everyone was and catching up on everyone's latest accomplishments. He was the voice of reason, and you could have his ear to work through anything life had to throw your way. You will always be with us, in our hearts and memories forever. Rest easy, we love you.
