We are sad to share news of the passing of our very special mother Paulette Rubekah Macdonald (nee Martineau) on Wednesday March 8, 2023, in her 73rd year. Treasured wife to the late Paul Macdonald. Loving mother of Michelle (Peter), Emil (Pamela), Matthew (Brigitta), Jessie (Ian), Josh (Kaitlyn) and Zac. Greatly missed by her grandchildren of whom she was so proud, Emily (Malte), Nicolas (Ellie), Thomas, Natasja, Robbie, Casey & Crew. Sister to sweet little Juliet and her cowboy brothers John, David (Cindy), Phillipe (Monika) and aunt to Lexi. Fondly remembered by her very special friend Nancy. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Frances Martineau.
Paulette had many special memories of her time living in British Columbia and Nova Scotia, and she cherished time spent in her childhood with her rambunctious horse, Flip.
Paulette had a very special passion for her career as a Registered Practical Nurse. Known by those she worked with in the community as being knowledgeable, kind and compassionate, and the kids in her family always knowing that if they ran into any trouble, to “just call Gramma, she will know what to do”.
She will be forever known for loving the colour pink, being oh-so very stylish, having a special eye for decor, and her ability to shop endlessly. She was always up for a long phone chat or a cup of coffee, no matter the time of night.
Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown, 905-877-3631 on Friday March 17, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. All guests are invited to wear pink in celebration. Flowers are welcome; in memory contributions can be made to the Georgetown Hospital. To send messages of condolence please visit www.jonesfuneralhome.co
