Skuriat, Paul Gregory –
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Paul on Monday January 6, 2025 at home at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Mary DeCamillis for 34 years and devoted father of Elizabeth. Deeply loved son of Anne Skuriat and the late Julius Skuriat. Dear brother of Elaine Merritt. Paul will be missed by his brothers- and sisters-in-law and his many nieces and nephews. Paul grew up in Guelph, Ontario and was an active member of the Cadets as a youth. Paul loved his time spent at Royal Roads Military College in Victoria, BC. Since moving to Georgetown in 1991, Paul thoroughly enjoyed playing and organizing his Thursday and Friday night pick-up hockey league. Paul dedicated his time to St. George’s Anglican Church where he spent more than ten years acting as a warden. Recently retired after a long and successful career in financial technology, most of which was spent at Omgeo, Paul found a way to turn his great passion of motorcycle riding into a job with Canada Rides. There was little that Paul loved more than carefully planning his routes and trips, and sharing the labors of his love with others who shared his hobby. Paul had labrador retrievers all his life and will be missed greatly by his chocolate lab Ruby. If/when the Leafs ever win another Cup, we hope you raise a toast to Paul – he was eagerly awaiting the moment.
Family and friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown (905) 877-3631 on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 60 Guelph Street, Georgetown on Saturday January 11, 2025 at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the SickKids Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
