PAUL SKINNER

1935 – 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Paul on April 1, 2024. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Ann Skinner (2014), survived by his sister-in-law Judith Lawday (Robert), his niece Heather Parker (Charles), his great niece Alexandria Parker, nephews Robert and James Parker.

Paul was born in London, England to George and Lillian Skinner. During the war, his father’s ship the HMS Bargan was torpedoed and sunk off the coast of Egypt.

Paul immigrated to Canada with his mother Lillian Gilmore and John Gilmore (stepfather) at the age of twelve. He later won a scholarship to Ryerson University, graduating in Architecture and Technology. Paul worked for Brewers Retail as Director of Development and Properties which earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. After his retirement, Paul managed industrial properties and real estate.

Paul will be remembered for his contribution to the community, sense of humor, generosity and support of family and friends. As per Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private burial will be held later. Rest in peace Paul. You will be dearly missed and remembered. Barbara, we promised to take care of Paul when you left us, now you can take it from here.
