Patricia Ann "Kay" Bigg

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Anne McKay Bigg, fondly known as Kay Bigg, on January 6th 2024, in Georgetown, Ontario. She was born on September 8th, 1936, in Ballymena, Ireland.

Kay is survived by her loving sons Andrew Charles Bigg (Cidalina) and Steven Robert Bigg (Susan). She was a cherished grandmother to Melissa, Matthew, Sean, Ryan, and Holly Bigg. Kay was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leslie Norman Bigg.

Kay was a woman of many passions and interests. She found joy in cultivating beautiful gardens, indulging in the pages of a good book, and engaging in lively games of Scrabble. Not one to miss an episode, she was a dedicated viewer of "The Young and the Restless."

A pillar of her community, Kay dedicated her time to various causes. She served on the board of directors for multiple condominium corporations, the Georgetown District Hospital, and the Bennet Long Term Care Centre. Her commitment to service was recognized when she was awarded the Rotary International Club Paul Harris fellowship.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation, which will be held at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on January 20th from 10 - 11 am. A memorial service will follow at 11 am, with refreshments served afterward. Kay's ashes will be interned at Greenwood Cemetery, 100 King Street, Georgetown, at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CAShh) or the Canadian Cancer Society, given Kay's previous battle with cancer.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who worked tirelessly to make Kay's final days as comfortable as possible. Your kindness and support during this difficult time are deeply appreciated.
