Norma Alexander

Alexander, Norma Eileen (nee May) - Peacefully on May 3, 2015 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Alexander. Loving mother of David (Wendy) and Susan Whelan (Brian) all of Mississauga. Cherished and proud grandmother of Jeff, Blair, Mark and Courtney. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends. An excellent knitter, quilter and gardener, Norma was involved in activities that gave her much joy, including Knox Presbyterian Church, the Women's Institute, her weekly bridge group and cheering on her grandchildren's various sports activities. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Georgetown Hospital for their compassionate care. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held in the Jones Funeral Home chapel, on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11 am. If desired, charitable contributions may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church (Georgetown) or ALS Canada.
