Noreen Miehm

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Noreen Miehm in her 90th year. Born on July 13, 1934 in Prince Edward Island, Noreen was predeceased by her loving husband George in 2008. Dearly missed by her children Judy (Terry), David (Mary), Michael (Cara), and  Michelle (Wayne). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sean, Jacqueline, Ryan, Christian, Matthew, Luke, Jacob, Nolan, Megan, and great grandchildren Allison and George. Dear sister of Paul, Helen, Marjorie, Eileen, Trudy, and Joe. Noreen was honoured by the Catholic Diocese of Hamilton with the Francis Lovering Award, as woman of the year 2011. She worked tirelessly with multiple charities over the years in Georgetown. Noreen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Forever in hearts. Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 between 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery, where Noreen will be reunited with George. Donations to Holy Cross Church, the Georgetown Hospital, Cancer Assistance Service of Halton Hills (CASHH), or the Bethel Hospice in Noreen’s name are gratefully appreciated by her family.
