Nicoletta "Niki" Georganes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicoletta (Niki) Georganes, who left us peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born on July 15, 1936 in Tripolis Greece, Niki was known for her strength, compassion, and unwavering love and devotion to her family. She immigrated to Toronto in 1964 where she married the love of her life, Konstantinos, in 1967. They briefly moved to Astoria, New York before they returned to Canada, eventually settling down in Acton, Ontario. In her fierce desire to provide the best possible life for her family, she worked hard at their family restaurant, the Olympia Drive In/Queens Pizza, a staple for those in Acton, where she touched the lives of all the people she met.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Konstantinos Georganes, her dear sister, Irene Katsoulis. Niki leaves behind her cherished children, Lisa (Robert) and George Georganes, and her adored grandchildren, Michael, Melissa (Spencer), and Amy (Christopher) who loved her immensely. She is also survived by her loving brother, Konstantinos Batziakas. Niki was a proud and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a cherished great-aunt to their children. She will also be deeply missed by extended family in New York, Australia and Greece, as well as many dear friends whose lives she touched.

Niki’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience lives on in the hearts of all who had the joy of knowing her. Her presence will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church in Mississauga, followed by interment at Meadowvale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Niki’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
