It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Nicholas Sciberras, who died at home on January 15, 2026 at the age of 79. Nicholas was a devoted husband, cherished father, proud Nannu, loving father‑in‑law, and a steady, caring presence to all who knew him.
Nicholas will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 54 years, Grace, with whom he built a lifetime of partnership, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He leaves behind his daughters, Michelle (Alan) Sciberras and Melanie (Michael) Bedioui, who will forever carry his guidance, strength, and love in their hearts. He was a treasured Nannu to his five grandchildren, Liam, Nathan, Giuliana, Luca, and Valencia, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Nicholas is survived by his loving siblings: Grace (Paul) Spiteri, Rita (Felix) Camilleri, Evelyn (Joseph) Farrugia, Reno (Ghyslaine) Sciberras, Charlie (Carol) Sciberras, and Larry Sciberras. He is predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Maria Concetta, and by his sister Josephine (Emmanuel) Cilia.
Born in Malta, Nicholas carried his heritage with great pride and returned each year to visit the island he forever called home. Malta and Canada were both deeply woven into his identity, and he cared for family and friends across both countries. Nicholas was a man who always ensured his loved ones were safe, supported, and fed, he loved to cook. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many dear friends in Canada and Malta.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
May he rest in eternal peace.
