Neville Palmer

d. October 24, 2015

Palmer, Neville- It is with great sadness that the family of Neville John Palmer, 91 years young, announces his passing. On Saturday morning October 24, 2015, after complications related to heart surgery he succumbed, in-spite of valiant efforts by the Trillium Hospital staff to sustain his life.
He was born in Christchurch, England and spent his teenage years in Bournemouth where he was active in the Boy Scouts. He joined the Royal Marines in 1942 and served as a Royal Marine Commando until 1946 being stationed in Ceylon, India, Hong Kong and Burma. At the end of WW2 his adventures brought him to Canada where me met and married Margaret Palmer (Savage) in 1949. He moved to Georgetown in 1958 and worked for Air Canada (TCA) until he retired. He and his wife were founding members of the Georgetown Alliance Church and he spent many hours ministering to others, especially seniors.
Beloved father of Wesley Palmer (Janet Le Lievre) and Lynda (Palmer)Tilley (Steve), and grandpa to Aaron Tilley (Melissa) , Amos Tilley, Rebecca Schutt (Jarett), Jeremiah Palmer (Dana), Margaret Bowes and Erica Bowes. Great granddad to Elsie and Aubrie Schutt, Lars Palmer, Elkin Tilley and Kiera Gowen.
Dear friend of Betty McHale and her family.
