Neil Mcquarrie

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, John Neil McQuarrie. Known to many as Neil, he was a man whose big heart, great sense of humour, and easygoing nature brightened the lives of all who knew him.

Neil was a proud father to his daughters—Samantha (married to Joe), Kerianne (married to Gary), and Brittaney (married to Junior)—and an adoring grandfather to Tyler, Jacob, Johnny, Conner, Willow, and Kaia. He cherished every moment with them, whether sharing laughs, or simply enjoying their company.

Born to the late Viola and Bruce McQuarrie, Neil grew up as part of a close-knit family. He shared his life with his siblings Debbie (married to Colin), Sean (married to Cheryl), Jodi (married to Howie), and Sherry—along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, who all remember him for his warm spirit and contagious laugh.

Although our hearts are heavy without him here, we take comfort in the beautiful legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. His memory lives on through the stories shared around family tables and the echoes of his laughter in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Neil. You will be missed more than words can express, and you will forever remain in the loving memories of those whose lives you touched.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #120, 127 Mill St, Georgetown, from 2-5 p.m.
