It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Neil Thomas Burfind, beloved Husband of Doris Burfind, caring Father to Thomas (Loren Smarda) and Charlotte and Brother to Sharon and Linda. His many cousins loved him dearly. Neil passed away at home on May 25th, five days after his 63rd Birthday, surrounded by the warmth of family. As his wish, arrangements for a private memorial service have been made. We appreciate your understanding at this time. We know that Neil's light and love reached out beyond our family to the community. He spent many years passionately coaching with the Halton Hills Minor Football Association. To carry on Neil's legacy and commitment, and to support our local youth, the HHMFA will be accepting donations to their "Adopt A Tide" Fund, which gives kids an opportunity to play football and learn life skills from coaches like Neil.
