Hiseman, Nancy (nee Dixon) March 23, 1949 - February 16, 2025

"I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with loving-kindness" Jeremiah 31:3

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of an incredible, caring and deeply loved woman, Nancy Hiseman on Sunday February 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving and devoted family at the Georgetown Hospital, a place that she dedicated 40 years of nursing.

Nancy was a loving and caring wife of 54 years to Ron. Together they raised their 3 children Eric, Sarah (Chris) and Heather who had such a strong love for their mother and best friend. Nancy was a deeply proud and supportive Grandmother to Jacob (Amanda), Tristan (Wakana) and Aiden, along with Courtney and Carter. Nancy was always spoiling her Great-Granddaughters Chloe and Madison and in return, those little girls loved her so much.

Nancy was the Matriarch of the family and always surrounded herself with family. Grieving her loss are her siblings Walter Dixon (Teresa), Dianne Nieuwkuyk (Casey 2022) and Gord Dixon (Joanne), Her nieces Rosanne (James) and Cindy (Nick) and great nephews Liam and Rory.

Nancy always had time for her cousins and extended family and loved her time spent with them. Nancy will be lovingly missed by her many many friends!

Greeting Nancy in heaven are her parents Mac and Shirley Dixon, Bill and Ann Hiseman, her sister Laureen, her granddaughter Robyn and her many loved family members and friends.

Even though Nancy's family was her everything, Nancy was also passionate about Nursing and caring for everyone. Her smile and laughter was infectious and she could calm any patient down. She started her 50+ years nursing career at Humber River Hospital before working at Georgetown Hospital. Nancy worked on the Med-surg ward before becoming the most dedicated transfer nurse there was. She never said no to a call, and worked around the clock helping patients get care at different hospitals.

Nancy retired in 2016 and continued to enjoy life with Ron, travelling, gardening and spending time with her family. She also helped drive people to their medical appointments with C.A.H.H, once again proving her passion to help.

Over the past 4 years, her health proved challenging. Nancy fought hard to regain her quality of life after each health challenge but sadly, this past fall proved a fight harder than her weak body could handle.

Although Nancy loved flowers, we kindly ask in her memory to make a donation to a charity of your choice.

In honour of our Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Cousin, Aunt and Friend, we ask you to do a good deed for someone in need.
