Myrna O'Connor

O'Connor, Myrna Vivian (nee Smith) 1923 - 2013. Passed quietly with her granddaughter Jaclyn at her side on Tuesday September 3, 2013 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Bruce (predeceased), loving Mother of Lynn, Glenn and her grandchildren Jaclyn and Grant. Predeceased by one of her 3 sisters (Joan) and her parents. She will be deeply missed by relatives, nieces, nephews, family and friends and those she touched in her life. A graduate of the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing, she served 3 years in R.C.A.M.C. (Reserve) 47 C.C.S. as a Lieutenant nursing sister. She leaves behind many amazing memories and a sharp, clever wit. A proud "Bluenoser" from Nova Scotia, educated in a one room school house in River Philip Nova Scotia, she spoke of the memories growing up on Twin Elm Farm where the "Four Smith girls" helped to make ends meet. She was a big Ann Murray fan. Visitation will be held at J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Thursday September 5, 2013, 3 pm - 5 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm. Service will be held in the Jones Funeral Home Chapel on Friday September 6, 2013 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or Terry Fox Foundation.
