A long time Georgetown resident, businessman and volunteer, Murt died peacefully at Georgetown Memorial Hospital Saturday, November 9 ^th , 2019. Beloved husband of 25 years to Frances (Merrett) and loving partner of Millie Smith for 39 years.  Son of Cameron and Zilda, brother to the late Garfield, Marie, Myles and Jean.  Proud father of Robert (Shelley); Paul (Julie) and Lori Coughlin (Greg); step father to Gary Smith (Marilyn), Lawrie Smith (Cindy), Trudy Smith and the late Brenda Smith (Les); ‶Papa″ to grandchildren Scott (Sandra), Jennifer (Bryan), Ben (Mandy), Leah (Christian), Brad, Pat, Laura (Ken), Luke, Brandon (Leigh), Shay (Kelly) and Bianca, and 10 great grandchildren. A private family funeral service will be held at JS Jones Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will be held at The Club at North Halton, Friday, Nov. 15 ^th from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ballinafad United Church or Georgetown Memorial Hospital.  To send a message of condolence, please visit: jonesfuneralhome.co
