It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Milka Juraic, who left this world peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in her 89th year.

Milka was the cherished wife and “sunshine” of 55 beautiful years to her husband, Slavko Juraic. Their enduring partnership was a testament to devotion, resilience, and unwavering affection.

Milka was a devoted and loving mother to Vesna Dragicevic and Boris Cehic, and she is reunited in peace with her beloved daughter Minka Djordjevic, who predeceased her. She was a proud Baba to Daniel (Bethanie), Tania (Alex), Johnny (Sabine), Filip, and Katarina, and a joyful great-grandmother to Evan, Claire, Luka, Leo, Marco, Sasha, and Liliana. Nothing brought her greater happiness than time spent with her grandchildren—her greatest treasures.

Milka’s days were often spent in her garden, nurturing the flowers and vegetables she tended with the same care and love she offered to her family. Her home was always filled with the warmth of her cooking, the fruits of her garden, and the deep sense of comfort that only she could create.

Her warmth, kindness, strength, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to shine through the generations she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, from 5–8 p.m., with prayers at 5 p.m., at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, December 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
