Michael Charles Tyler

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Michael Charles Tyler on Saturday January 3, 2026, at the age of 78 years. Mike was the cherished husband and long time best friend of Lynn (Johnston) for 56 years. Dear father of Michael Tyler (Laura) and Kim McArthur (Marty Dasilva). Loving poppa of Ben McArthur, Colton Tyler, and Nic Tyler. Mike also leaves behind his sister Peggy Vivian (Doug), his brother Bob Tyler (Leanna), brother in law Craig Johnston (Anne) and sister in law Karen Marshall (Steve). Mike will be missed by his nieces and nephews and by all who knew him. Mike will be greeted in Heaven by his beloved fur companions.

Mike and Lynn moved from Georgetown to Erin not long after they were married, where they lived for 40 years. Mike was involved in his children's sports - both coaching and as a spectator. After moving to Guelph 15 years ago, Mike became an ardent Guelph Storm fan and enjoyed golfing in the summer.

Another of Mikes loves was the family cottage on the Manitoulin Island where he first visited 59 years ago. In his time there he became close to Lynn's relatives, and the Silver Lake "family".

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held at a later date.
