Michael William Quinn

Michael was born in South Shields, U.K, to parents Laurence Quinn and Kathleen Quinn (nee Thompson) on May 30, 1937. He was the eldest brother to Bryan, Peter, and John. He was married to Kathleen Quinn (nee Murray) on June 20,1959 at St. Gregory's R.C in Harton, South Shields, U.K, and had four sons Sean (spouse Linda), Gerard (spouse Annie), Stephen (spouse Angela), and Laurence (spouse Christine) and eight grandchildren (Michael, Jillian, Andrew, David, Meghan, Liam, Rachael, and Aidan).
They recently celebrated their Diamond Anniversary of 60 years of marriage.
Michael was involved in a family business "Quinn's Motors" in South Shields, U.K, as an auto mechanic then worked for Ziebart Underseal, U.K. He emigrated to Canada July, 1979 to the Toronto, Ontario area with his wife and four sons. He established a Ziebart franchise in Bolton and later in 1986 started Sign Solutions Ltd. and was actively involved in the Bolton/Caledon community.
He recently retired from work in the spring of 2019 to devote his time with wife Kathleen until her passing (November 22,1933 - July 29, 2019)
Michael unfortunately lost his battle to cancer a few months later on September 10, 2019.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. (905) 877-3631 on Saturday September 21, 2019 from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. for both Michael and Kathleen.
