Michael Moody

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Michael Patrick Moody of Georgetown, Ont. on January 2/2025 in hospital; surrounded by loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Michael is survived by his son Jack (Lesley Soden mother and partner predeceased), siblings and many nieces and nephews.

An insatiable reader, Mike loved the Classics, Shakespeare, Science Fiction, Latin and of course the writings of Arthur Schopenhauer. He was also a vintage book collector and restorer. His love of nature led him to build one of the first roof top gardens in Toronto during his years as building manager at 401 Richmond. Other hobbies included model airplane making and the "CFL." Other than his son Jack, nothing made him happier than driving around in his big blue 1968 Chrysler New Yorker.

Michael has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life will be announced at a future time.  Please make any donations to the Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
