Meghan Erin Park (Nee Doherty)

November 17, 1992 — December 4, 2024

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Meghan Erin Park (nee Doherty), who became a beautiful angel in heaven on December 4, 2024.

Born to Rob and Tammy Doherty on November 17, 1992, and married to her childhood sweetheart, Justin Park on October 1, 2022. Meghan will be eternally missed by her best friend and husband, Justin; fur babies (Koda and Penny) parents, Rob & Tammy; brother Cooper (Krysten); mother and father in-law, Donna and Darrell; brother and sister in-laws, John (Erin) and Jeff (Jessica), beloved nieces and nephews, Lily, Abby and Ethan; Grandparents Darlene, Jim (Judy), Bob (Julia - predeceased), Marjorie (Sydney – predeceased), (John and Margaret, pre-deceased) and great grandmother Ruth. She will be forever missed and loved by aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Meghan’s love of children started at an early age with lifelong dreams of becoming a teacher and a mom. Her success in post secondary education at York University and subsequent completion of teacher’s college at Ottawa University helped her realize her teaching dream as she joined the Halton District School Board as a core French teacher in 2015. She was well respected by her colleagues, loved by her students and found so much joy in teaching, mentoring, and coaching extra curricular activities. Meghan’s determination, discipline and competitiveness developed from a lifetime love of softball. As a catcher nothing got by her and she created lifelong friendships with teammates and coaches. As a resident of the Halton community, she developed many friendships through participation in various events and dart leagues within the legion. She was fun-loving, easy-going, and loved by so many. She will be sadly missed by the community and her many former and current students.

A private family service will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, details will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Halton Food for Thought https://www.haltonfoodforthought.com
