It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maurice Joseph Corcoran on March 7, 2026. Born in Cootes Pond, Newfoundland, Maurice made Georgetown, Ontario his home in 1974, where he built a life rooted in family, friendship, and community.

He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Patricia; his daughters, Diane and Joanne; his son-in-law, Chris; and his cherished grandchildren, Joe, Victoria, Noah, and Josh, who brought him immense pride and joy. Maurice is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: his sisters Lou, Irene (Dave), Ann (Barry), Sylvia (Ronnie), Edna (Kevin), Marina, and brothers Tim and Terry. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mercedes; his sisters, Rose, Maureen, Marg, and Marian; and his brother, Clayton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown. Prayers will be offered at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown.

Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
