Mary Lou Gibson (née Huffman) November 10, 1933 - May 28, 2020) Born in Georgetown and baptized at St. George's Anglican Church. Passed away in Ottawa, Ontario after a long and courageous battle with dementia. A former long-time resident of Georgetown, employee of Standard Products Ltd. and Applied Wiring, and the daughter and grand-daughter of the town's baker, butcher and barber. Mary Lou enjoyed skiing, figure skating, travel, dancing, kid's hockey games, playing cards, caring for her dogs and cottage life on Deep Bay surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Clarke Gibson (Gibson Welding), her grandson Nicholas, and her four brothers - William, Keith, Ivan and Robert Huffman. Her energy, love, and wild stories will be missed by her children Wayne (Judy), Deborah (Brian), Kim (Catherine), and Robin (Patrick) as well as her 13 grandchildren: April (Jonathan), Kristy, David, Madeline (Teesin), Kelly (Colin), Michelle (Zolton), Sarah, Robert, Faye (Scott), Duncan, Brilee, Mikayla, Jordan, and 2 great-grandchildren, Barrett and Charlotte. A private family service will be held in the chapel at Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday June 3rd, 2020 at 11am. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Georgetown.
